Youth Speaker University Review

Please read my honest Youth Speaker University Reviews before you invest in the YSU program.

It was December 2010, and I had just received two magazines in the mail. One was Entrepreneur and the other was Inc. When I picked up Inc. magazine I noticed a headline that really grabbed my attention. It read: The Art and Business of Motivational Speaking.

I quickly read through the article, which was about a guy named Josh Shipp who was making a living and an impact by speaking to teenage audiences. What really stood out from the article was that he was mentoring two speakers (Kantis Simmons and Brooks Gibbs) to also go out and speak to audiences.

I closed the magazine and talked to my wife about what I just read. The next step for me was obvious, I had to reach out to Josh Shipp and see if he would be open to mentoring me. After sending out a few emails and filling out contact forms on his website, I finally received a reply. See the following images as proof.

YSU Review from Fabian Ramirez

I reviewed Youth Speaker University over and over and after talking it through with my wife, I finally made the investment to join the program. Though I was hesitant at first, I knew I made the right choice. Honestly, the only reason I hesitated was because I didn’t want someone to take advantage of me. After getting to know Josh personally, he would never take advantage of people for money.

Paying for the course never bothered me. I have a Bachelors and a Masters degree, so I’m used to paying for education. However, YSU not only teaches you the skill of speaking but a major aspect of the program is teaching you how to market your speaking services.  Essentially, YSU became the roadmap that I needed to kickstart my speaking career.

Like many inspiring speakers, I knew I had a message but I didn’t know how to make an income while making an impact. See I grew up with jobs that were tied to an hourly wage and it was hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that schools would pay good money for a 45 minute presentation. I know now that it’s more than 45 minutes, it could be up to 2 days because of travel and preparation time.

The program was appealing because it’s online, so I was able to login whenever I wanted to watch a training video. We were also able to get on calls and learn from other speakers. The most helpful tool for me was the online community that YSU created. What would you do if you had 100 other people in your industry to walk along side you? I know, it’s awesome because you’re building your speaking business alongside 100 other people. I was able to ask questions and interact with other inspiring speakers. I still keep in touch with many of the speakers that I met in the program.

I believe my original investment when YSU was first launched online was $3,600 (12 month x $300). I’ve made half a million dollars since that investment and every year I clear six figures easily. I would say it’s been one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I could live wherever I want as long as I have an airport close by. I’m my own boss and I wouldn’t trade that for the world. Most importantly, I’m able to have an enormous amount of family time at home.

If you’re considering a speaker program, I would highly recommend Youth Speaker University. Like any program, you must stick with the lessons if you want to see results. I knew that Josh couldn’t guarantee that I would see any results or that I would get any speaking requests but I worked my tail off to earn a good speech. I remember seeing a millionaire go through YSU and I remember telling him, you cannot buy a good speech, you have to earn it.

This last week alone, I’ve received over $30K in speaking requests and they keep coming. If you have a message, join YSU and learn how you too can make an impact and an income.
